Here is our latest music video made by Angela Chase and Shawn Downey along with a bunch of awesome street artists.
you can check these guys out too by going to their bandcamp here. http://brothergruesome.bandcamp.com/
free download of their latest 7”, which was fucking superb.
Get me into that room right now.
i was totally daydreaming about this today. i wanna make a huge one, using digital imaging to make it almost exactly to scale. man that would be cool.
jcdubz asked: Hello, I too like to make gum wrapper art. but I'm my shapes aren't as clear as yours . I was wondering how you got the round edges on your latest piece. I see that you use the blue painting tape for straight lines. I was also wondering how do you peel your wrapper off the plastic. I wondered if you have tried the method where you lick the back (paper side) and then put the paper side up and scratch the paper away. It allows you to get bigger whole pieces. Other then that your art is amazing.
yes! that’s very cool that you do this too.
i am quite vanilla with how i apply it onto surfaces, and i have found polymers to be quite an adhesive substance. i do not try to wet the paper, as water, oils, and general touching of the back of the foil degrades the quality of attraction to whatever surface you choose. all i do is peel. with getting straighter lines, all you need to do is use an exacto knife and get in tons of practice. from there you can find how you work with the foil, such as difference in technique and style. through that, you can work on your lines, and circles and whatnot.
remember, all you will ever need is practice and patience.
i hope this helped and happy art-ing!
it’s that time again! yay!
so i finally got to photographing work tonight. it’s a bother to get all of the equipment out, set up, and ready, but man is it worth it sometimes. here’s a bit of what i shot tonight, and the three upcoming pieces i’m planning on entering momentum okc this year. if you look down you can spot what was accepted last year, and the piece i had in the show. wheee!

haven’t updated in a while, but then again i don’t really have tumblr at the forefront of my thoughts much. maybe i can get back into the hang of posting more original content, more often. right now, i currently have shows i’m working on and pieces that i’d like to have documented on the internet, so i think more updates in what i’m doing will be in order.
this picture up above is a munny toy from kid robot in progress. first vinyl i’m trying, and right now i’m just finding what wiggle room i have with ‘em. i think i’ll be doing a three raffy set for a vinyl toy show in mid march, depending on the circumstances.
but what i really want is one of those touma knuckle bears. those look soooo fun.

I’m so glad I have a camera on me nearly all the time. Images like this deserve to be captured. Also, we’re lucky to have a great museum here in OKC. Who’d have thought?
I loved this exibition. So fun to shoot. I made some fantastic prints afterwards.
This, (one of my favourites from all of the pics i’ve seen,) was taken by Rex Barrett. He’s one of the more rad photographers in Okc. Be sure to check him out if you can.
